Alys Beach employs a design philosophy called New Urbanism. Every commercial and residential building will be built with concrete, creating durable and energy-efficient homes and offices. Solar orientation, passive heating and cooling and a geothermal system, combined with concrete walls, will lower heating and cooling costs. Several gardens, along with a 22 acre nature park, will help preserve the landscape of this Gulf Coast community. Three units are currently available to rent for honeymoons or private weddings.
