HauteIdea.com is the (excuse the pun) haute idea of Meghan Yudes Meyers; it combines her passion for style and sophistication with her deep-rooted sensibility for living a better, more sustainable life. Meyers is also the founder and creator of Portovert.com, the first-ever eco wedding magazine, which debuted January 2007. With HauteIdea.com, Meyers has once again demonstrated that green is not a look, it’s a lifestyle. Meyers’ aesthetic has been praised by many in the blogosphere and mainstream media alike, ushering in a new generation of hip-green voices. Her eco-tips have been featured in print, radio and on national television, including: The Early Show on CBS, The Today Show on NBC, NBC4’s Going Green, NPR’s Day to Day, Canal Plus’s Morning Show and more. She has extended her expertise to companies seeking an authority on green events and products, including Disney/ABC’s Daytime Green Emmy Party and teen celebrity Kirstin Alderson of One Life to Live fame.

Meyers has written features and editorials for national and international publications including National Geographic Traveler, The Christian Science Monitor and Time Out New York. She has held posts at Family Circle, New Jersey Monthly and New Jersey Bride. Prior to working in the field of journalism, Meyers worked on commercial films and music videos; she was an assistant coordinator for the music video If I Could Change the World with Eric Clapton and Baby Face.
